At what period was the worship for our Lord correct? I'm pretty sure that worship music has changed throughout the centuries and has always been contemporary in someones eyes.

That's easy. During the 40's, 50's, and 60's, when the grand daddies of our current crop of pastors pastored. If THEIR music and worship style was good enough for the apostles, then it is surely good enough for us!
