People Fleeing Democratic Bastion CA for GOP TX
People and businesses are leaving CA because of the high taxes and headed for TX. Fresno has 15% unemployment while Houston has 6%. High taxes, overspending, punitive taxes on corporations and small businesses all are contributing to hemorrhaging. From the Wall Street Journal:

Did you read the same article I just read?
"But contrary to conservative lore, there has been no millionaires' march to Texas or other states with no income tax. In fact, since 2005 California has experienced a net in-migration of households earning more than $200,000, according to the U.S. Census's American Community Survey."
"As it happens, most of California's outward-bound migrants are low- to middle-income, with relatively little education: those typically employed in agriculture, construction, manufacturing, hospitality and to some extent natural-resource extraction. Their median household income is about $40,000—two-thirds of the statewide median—and about 95% earn less than $80,000. Only one in 10 has a college degree, compared with 30% of California's population. Roughly 40% of the people leaving are Hispanic."
Also what kind of jobs is Texas adding? What do they pay? Again I quote "Their median household income is about $40,000—two-thirds of the statewide median—and about 95% earn less than $80,000. Only one in 10 has a college degree, compared with 30% of California's population. Roughly 40% of the people leaving are Hispanic."

Re: People Fleeing Democratic Bastion CA for GOP T
And your point?
Democratic, liberal policies are supposed to be the utopia for the poor and middle class! The only people who can afford to live in CA are the rich!!!!
This goes to show you that with all of liberal's rhetoric about only soaking the rich for taxes and garnishing revenues only from the top 1%, the truth is there isn't enough money from the wealthy to pay all of the bills the government is racking up. So who takes the hit? The middle class and the working poor. That's why they're leaving in droves. Only the rich can afford to live in CA.
You just told on yourself! Hahaha!

Texas is slowly turning purple. It won't be long before we will turn the state to a beautiful blue.

BTW, some would be surprised at the millionaires in Texas. Some are not flashy at all.

Re: People Fleeing Democratic Bastion CA for GOP T
My home state of Maryland instituted their "millionaire tax" not to long ago and people of wealth are moving out of the state every way they can get out. Virginia is booming now because of high taxes and liberal policies in MD, it's so sad, now with the assault weapons ban being considered in the state thousands of jobs may be moving to VA because Beretta, which provides jobs to some of Marylands poorest areas, is considering a move out. It's a shame. Their governor is determined to do everything he can to destroy the state.

Well if thatS the case, it will be just a matter of time before Texas gets ruined along with CA, NY, MI and a host of other Democrat strongholds.

If the quality of life is so wonderful, why are people leaving?
