Re: Email Boxes
I use one address for personal email. I only give that address out for people who prefer to use email to keep in touch. I will NEVER use that email for anything extra because so many places sell out the email address lists.
I have one address that I use for forum registration. Another for all my online shopping, paid internet survey sites, etc. Setting up filters on the yahoo accounts helps filter a lot of it to the spam folder so that I can just delete it. With Gmail, that problem seems to be well under control because anything that looks spammy is automatically sent there without me having to set up filters. If either of those start getting more spam than important emails I will change my email address with the places I need to continue to receive stuff from and just stop using the old one. They will eventually shut down a yahoo email if it isn't used within a certain length of time.

Re: Email Boxes
I do what Tina does. I have 3 different Gmail accounts. My personal email for family, friends and business; one to subscribe to ministry and music websites; and one is a junk account used just for contests and other things.
Funny, the junk account barely gets spam...my secondary for ministry and music sites gets a little bit...but my primary account used only for family, friends and business always has one or two spam emails a day.

Re: Email Boxes
I typically just use the email address of other people I know when asked to sign up for something or when taking a survey. It's a real hoot!

My senior year of High School, a friend of mine thought it would be funny to sign me up to receive a Victoria Secret catalog in the mail. I came home one day to find my mom sitting on the couch with the catalog, very upset that I would subscribe to that "filthy" magazine!
I used his email the rest of the school year for anything and everything I could think of. He eventually had to make a new email address, because he was getting loads of spam.

I can't do that with the kind of surveys I do. I get paid for those--and I want that money in MY paypal account.

Re: Email Boxes
I have several different email addresses. Just like normal mail from the post office we get lots of junk mail or spam. The three main addresses I just delete junk stuff every day using my Blackberry. About every other week or so I go into the other addresses and delete the spam there. So, I treat it like regular U.S. mail, just going through it on a regular basis and throwing out the junk mail.
