John 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Could baptism be the mechanism whereby Christ gave Peter the power to remit sins? If the church refused to baptize someone would that persons sins be remitted since the new birth and remission of sins both require water baptism?
I think it makes alot of sense to link
John 20:23 to water baptism. What do you all think?
