My name was publically attacked last night

Sadly, it was my first cousin who did it. She is someone who I have only seen a couple of times in the past 30 years. So I really do not know where she is a t in life.

Yesterday i posted something about Bruce Jenner's photo on the cover of Vanity Fair. It was something someone sent to me and I "shared" it. It did not attack Jenner personally, but simply admonished Christians not be drawn in to applauding and encouraging people in their delusion. It was NOT a "God hates gays" kind of thing. I think since all this Jenner stuff came up, this is only the second time I have even mentioned it on Face Book.

Well my cousin came out swinging. She began to attack Drugger who she called a "bible thumping pedophile". I responded that unless he is currently molesting kids, that I did not see what was gained by dragging his name through the mud over something that happened when he was child, and that his parents got him help for. I further expressed that having worked in child services, in out training we were told how child on child sex crimes were classified differently than adult on child crimes, and that not all child perpetrators wind up being classified as pedophiles. Finally I stated that it was my contention that if Drugger was not a Christian in the lime light, that we would never have even known about all of this.

Well she went nuts. In her mind I was "defending a pedophile". She could not be reasoned with and any clarification of my remarks were labeled as "back peddling". So I kindly excused myself and went to bed.

This morning I discovered that she had taken it upon herself to attack me personally on her own FB page to her friends that I do not even know. "This is my first cousin (calling me by name) a MINISTER who supports and defends pedophilia." She obviously has a lot of liberal friends and they chimed right in. It was like a coordinated attack.

The left in this country is controlled and influenced by demonic forces. They are completely irrational and are not looking for middle ground. Jesus said that a man's enemies will be they of his own household.

I choose to love and forgive. Please pray for my cousin's salvation.

Wow, that is awful! I'm sorry that happened to you.

This whole Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner thing is an abomination. I saw several posts by others about it that turned into hateful arguments against believers who weren't being mean, but were taking a stand on the Bible.

People have really lost their reasoning ability, I think. I'm sorry to hear that such defamation came from a family member, but really, we should begin to expect such attacks when we stand for the Lord, in these days. I don't know where this liberal agenda is taking us, but Christians are definitely in the line of persecution from that type of mentality. You can't fight this kind of attack with anything but love and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

That is one reason I didn't stay on Facebook. You have too many people with diverse views - family and friends. I felt I was dragging everyone into a conversation I only wanted to compartmentalize, i.e. religion and politics. I find most people claiming religiosity wear the popular meme on their sleeves - "Don't judge me" - meaning, they don't want to change anything they are doing.

So, Twitter works for me - I only have political friends. Religion is too involved to defend in 140 letters.

Having said that, Jason Dugger has a bit of a problem as you are not a "child" at 14 or 15 years old. That is 9th grade. Now, I will defend them taking care of it 'in-house' at the beginning. Any family would do that at the outset, and they also said he did get counseling. Although, I've heard two stories - one he did get counseling, another it was just a labor intensive job with friends away from home. So, we will see what his parents say tonight on The Kelly File.

If one is not a "child' at 15, then if a 15 year old is abused by a parent, or is sexually abused by an adult, the perpetrators can't be charged with "child abuse".

I haven't read the rest of the posts here, but wow! Your cousin sounds, well....irrational with her liberal beliefs. Sorry you are going through this.

On a similar note, I read this morning that Hillary had an affair with Yoko Ono years ago. This will probably get very little press.

I feel bad for all of them. What Duggar did was wrong and abominable. However, he was a kid and we hope he isn't doing it now.
