Building one more church in jungle land

Many of you know that some 30 years ago I went and preached to naked indians...in fact two tribes of them on that journey. Today we have 7 churches in and around that area.

This week our son began the foundation of one more new church. We have around 100 indians baptized and others praying and many contacts in many areas.

It can be very dangerous and often there are killings and kidnappings in those areas.

Do remember this work in your prayers. Thanks so much.

This land were he is building is along the only government highway in that part of Brazil....no one travels at night...it is very dangerous....hard for us in America to realize something like that. The last time we were up there indians stopped us 18 times!

30 years ago I stood before two tribes that were at war both tribes were stark naked....with their faces painted for war....and told them the story of "TUPAN" God in their language....Oh! the difference the gospel makes.

Very exciting. Tribal trust is hard to gain.

I worked with Native American Indians and they resent the destruction of their culture by Missionaries.
Not everything in their culture was evil, and that is why many of them are still angry at the missionaries, for the missionaries often destroyed everything that was part of their culture.

They complained to me that instead of transforming the Native Indians culture with the Gospel, they destroyed it, because they thought that American Indians were total savages, some of them are still quite bitter about that.

If you are making them Christians, then that is great.

But if you are making them Americans, then it is not great.
