China Removing Crosses From Christian Churches

Link to New York Times article about the Chinese government taking exception to Christian churches in rural areas being bold enough to display crosses on steeples. The government is sending people in to cut them down.

Craziness. I wonder why they see Christianity as a threat.

I wonder how long the Chinese Christian church has been in revival!

The article doesn't mention what kind of churches these were. Also my friend David Banta who is a missionary to China said that the Chinese want there Christians to only use the Bible. If it isn't in the Bible it shouldn't be practiced.

So, where in the Bible do we find houses with crucifixion stakes on the top?

If the law of the land says no crosses, don't put crosses. They are lucky they even get to have church. And yes, churches ARE legal in China.
