Rain in Tennessee......Finally!!!

It is pouring outside, thank the Lord! We haven't had any rain here in probably a month or more. Everyone's yard looks like it's the middle of December instead of the first of September. People have lost tons of cotton, corn, etc. around here. Shrubs have died, trees have died and fallen over; it's been a real drought.

Last night in our once a month Encounter Service, our music guy started singing "Let it Rain", which was already on the music schedule, right as it started pouring on the metal roof. It rained so hard and people were so thankful both for the spiritual rain and the physical rain; we had an awesome time of praise. Some of our praise singers were singing new songs before the Lord as He gave them, prophetic praise (which I love and think is so beautiful)! The power of God swept through there in waves.

You can have it all... We are used to having at least a few weeks of drought in Houston during the summer but I think it has thundered and rained almost every day for 4 months now... I don't think we have had what I call "summer" yet and we are already into September. I also haven't needed to water my lawn this entire year so I guess that is a bonus...

Wish you could have shipped some of that extra rain up here; we have been drying up. Our water towers have been in danger of emptying; they have asked everyone NOT to water grass, gardens, etc. or you would be fined (in certain cities).
