Everlasting destruction does not mean everlasting nothingness. It is destruction worse than anything physical, eternal damnation in a lake of fire. There is no definition of destruction any stronger....

They are not "put to death". They are cast into the lake of fire. That is the second death. Not even sure when death and hell give up the dead to judgment that they're in physical bodies even then....
