I understand that the option of either wine or grape juice is given...what I am suggesting is that it is a bit insensitive to use the wine because in effect we are placing a sample just underneath their nose to take a sniff of it and saying to them "dont touch it, just sniff it, while we take it"....to ignore this we are simply not being mindful and sensitive to their previous stronghold. And we're opening up an avenue for them to just try it at church and before you know it, they can turn back to that which they once were in bondage to. So I am saying it simply is not wise. Those who are able to drink it moderately can do so at home...no need for the church to offer the strong drink.
