I thought Herman Cain and his lawyer did an excellent job of handling the accusations against him.
The lawyer was right on with his statement.
I have some questions for you to consider, tho.
Why should anyone have to answer any accusations on which there is no evidence presented?
If Cain ate with some women, as he's been accused of (and what's wrong with that?) and left them to pay for 2, $400 bottles of wine... don't you think the ladies would have said something about this to someone. You know the human nature and you know if this had happen that many people would have known about it. It would have been the talk of the day and they would have been raging and ranting to anyone that would listen. Where are the witnesses?
And in response to the "gold digger blond".... don't you think, (again considering the human nature) that if a man had run his hand under her skirt and moved it toward her gentialia (why would she have used that term...sounds like a lawyer's term) and then pulled her head toward his lap, that she would have told all of her friends. Again, it would have been the talk of the town. Maybe she has no friends because of her actions!
Someone asked, "If this happened why didn't she go to a lawyer's office and start legal procedures for her day in court, instead of getting in touch with the Allred lawyer to go with her to a press conference."
All of this junk STINKS! And so many give the women the benefit of doubt.... without any evidence.....!
I think it should be NO EVIDENCE — NO PRESS!
And blondie, you need to get a life. Nine jobs in 17 years sounds like too many for anyone that is stable. Sounds like you need to be in a stable! And why so many lawsuits that you have been involved in? Could there be a pattern? And yet many still give you the benefit of the doubt.
I think individuals like this that bring accusations, without proof or evidence, ought to be sued for slander and made pay dearly, with money or time in the slammer. That would stop some of this. And again any one has the right to speak their piece...but bring on the evidence! No evidence, then shut up!

I've had the same thing happen to me with a potential employer. Although he didn't touch any personal parts, he tried to kiss me. We met for dinner and drinks, not uncommon in the sales profession. We went back to the office to look over and discuss potential strategy. Standing by his desk, he suddenly moved closer and put his hands on my arms and drew me close. I rebuffed him, left the office, didn't take the job and never mentioned it to anyone. Why not? Because it didn't make a hill of beans to anyone but me. I found another job and moved on. I didn't feel he would rape me, that is one reason I didn't make a big deal out of it.
If this incident happened to this woman and it is true that he ran his hand up her skirt, I'm betting she knew he wouldn't get violent with it and walked away. A lot of us have been put in vulnerable positions in the work force. There isn't much you can do, but walk away. I could tell at least three more stories I can remember, off the top of my head. It's not that uncommon.
If the guy, in my story, had been running for president and all these other allegations came up and I watched him make denials, I would discuss it with my current family to see if they wanted to go the distance with me. I would feel it was part of my patriotic duty to share my story.
I'm not concerned about Herman Cain's sexual indiscretions. Those are his business. I'm more concerned about him being an unqualified dope.
Well, no question where you stand. I didn't ask for you to join the mindless accusers. I wanted to know what you thought about the press conference and I guess you're too narrow minded to answer or respond to that. He certainly is more qualified than the one that is occupying the White House at the present, don't you think? Or are you a cool aid drinker for the present regime?

Pressing-on I think you are the exception, .... to not tell anyone baffles me! You didn't have a very close friend that you would have shared it with? And why not?

There's no need for ad hominems here. I'm not a democrat. I do not think Cain is qualified simply because he has no answers for what ails our country other then what his team of advisors devise for him to think and say. Much like Obama.
I just don't put any trust or stock in anyone who can't think for themselves, and often time when Cain is asked about foreign policy or something that demands an intellectual answer he always replies that he needs to consult his advisors. That demonstrates to me that he is ignorant of too many things. At least Obama has had a little bit of political experience (not that I'm an Obama fan by any means).

If they can get witnesses that they actually told about these things over time (not the past few months) I will believe them. Where theres smoke many times there is fire.
To me it would speak loudly if Cain slapped a huge lawsuit immediately upon his accuser. It would show hes confident that nothing can be proved against him. How many women would have to come out before one would begin to get suspicious?

Most women don't want to talk about it. But the GOP better be really careful. Some may be working with the Obama administration and are waiting to see if he gets the nomination. It would be a win-win for them all. There is no need to step forward when he isn't the nominee right now.
