I've avoided this thread for days because I thought for sure it was someone wanting to sell Avon. How silly of me!

Genetically, I will probably never be gray. My grandmother died at 74 without a single gray hair on her head. I look identical to her, so..................
And at a little over 50, I still have all dark brown hair, so I don't see myself turning gray anytime soon. I've never dyed my hair and don't intend to start now.

However, I do NOT believe it is a sin to dye your hair. Not anymore than I believe it is a sin to take a bath or brush your teeth or shave your legs or.........

Walt on the other hand is completely gray. I tell him that people are going to think that he married a younger woman

Thank you. I agree, Mrs. I never had acne as a teen either. When everyone else was fighting it bad, my skin was smooth and nice.

HOWEVER, the down side is that the genes I inherited are the ones that cause you to gain 40 lbs for every ounce of food you take in every day. RATS!!! I think I'd rather have gray hair!

I agree that some people make a mess of their hair, and I went to a salon for a few years because I was afraid to do it myself, but I've been coloring my own for close to 10 years. I have to do it once a month because of so much gray, but I use a good brand that conditions my hair and I don't have problems with it drying out.

If I did not color mine I would be more gray than dark. My dad had gray hair in high school and I found my first one when I was 20.
