What percentage of health care costs do you believe is caused by gov't "regulation"?

This sounds like the Republicans idea to de-regulate banks and Wall Street a few years before it all crashed. I thought you guys would learn that simply de-regulating things wasn't the end all be all solution of complex problems.

I'm glad you guys aren't in power to deregulate healthcare like you deregulated our financial system. That didn't turn out so well for all of us.

Fed-Ex and UPS sure do a good job competing with the Postal Service don't they? Private business is not only competing with a gov't run entity but beating them. The three of them competing in that environment makes it cheaper for you and I to ship things.
Those dirty capitalist pigs!

You did hear that the Post Offices is always having problems didn't you? If it were a private run business it would not be in business.

Oh boy. Mike you know full well it was the Clinton Admin pushing the sub prime loan business through Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae that created the housing bubble that set us up for this recession. Everything dominoed from there. I posted a 1999 article from the NYT that predicted the very crash that happened. We saw people post youtube videos of Barney Frank and that Congresswoman from LA saying that FredMac and FanMae were sound and secure and that housing for people who were high credit risks wasnt going to hurt the system. Regulation, not deregulation caused this mess and you know it---the government mandate to banks to loan money to poor people who couldnt pay it back is the root cause for all of this. The GOP tried unsuccessfully to fix the FredMac and FanMae problem only to get stonewlled by the Dems. Its a fact. Its a matter of recorded history.

Who deregulated it? Wasn't it President Clinton and the Demoncratic Congress that caused the housing bubble?

The housing bubble wasnt created by DE-regulation, it was created by the mandate (regulation) from the Clinton Admin to raise the Fred and Fannie loan rates to poor people to 50%. IT IS HISTORICAL FACT

Partial truth. The CRA community Reinvestment Act required loans to minorities in high risk communitites. Obama when he was with ACORN sued CITIbank on this. Obama pressured banks to make high risk loans.
