Can you give me an example of this in Arizona as a result of this new law?
I know about racial profiling. It happens - and even worse crimes are committed by officials, damaging the good will and hard work of the vast, vast majority. But this law doesn't do anything that the Federal Codes it cites don't already require.
If there's a problem with that, then why haven't the politicos who are denouncing this law ever spoken out against the Federal Code behind it? Those Federal Codes on immigration are obviously controversial and have even generated massive protests in the streets, but it's just the state law that gets jumped on.
Could it be that all of this controversy is just a lot of noise over nothing? Could it be that with the upcoming Federal midterm elections that there are politicians of every stripe who are attempting to get an angle favorable to them?
