Pagan is an old english word. It means ‘Country Dweller’ and refers to anyone that the Christian church hasn’t reached yet (ie. those out in the country away from the cities where the churches were first established).
Pagan is an umbrella term. It covers a whole gammut of belief systems. Anyone who isn’t a Christian is by definition a Pagan. Bhudists, Odinites, Wiccans, Pastafarians, anyone.
