And the nice thing about it is this--nobody has to join them.

If their form of organizational government doesn't appeal to a man, he has the option of staying right where he is or joining something more to his liking.

Bingo.

Re: Tulsa Report Day 2

I will say that I sure like a lot of things about the structure of the WWPF.

And the "oligarchy" business doesn't bother me in the least.

All organizations are man-made concoctions that help us to one degree or another do the business of the Kingdom.

I am not nearly so interested in someone's affiliation as I am their doctrine, character, and ethics.

Re: Tulsa Report Day 2

I'm reminded of a story of a child with complete trust in his father. He first asks "Can I go with you?", then "Where are we going?"

The child has it backwards!

You first should ask, "Where are you going?", THEN "Can I go with you?"

To have so much trust in someone that you would ask If you could join them before you know their intentions, is a dangerous type of trust! It could be easy to be led astray!

This type of trust should only be left for God himself!

The men who founded the WWPF have proven track records that makes their direction a matter of public knowledge.

It is the direction of the UPC that some question, with certain changes taking place.

This is a total thread highjack, but I keep wondering, Bro. CS, you have mentioned being on the national youth board, what is the time frame of that?

Sorry, resume at your will!

Obviously the track record you are referring to is one of staying true to holiness teachings and beliefs that have been handed down the last couple of generations. From your perspective, this is high on your list of priorities. I can understand and even appreciate this!

The track record from some other's perspective see a different picture.

Their doctrine and commitment to the work of God have not wavered. That is the track record I speak of.
