Prophesying by office is much different than by gift though both are perfected (matured) by love.
Dan seems to think that I have something AGAINST the man. I do not. Neither do I doubt that he is a Prophet. But, if he is truly a prophet, he needs to be mentored by a mature Prophet. He may not even be aware of how he is being led. I've seen novice Prophets that did not fully realize by what spirit they were led or how easily it was to be led by the spirit of error.
The initial despair that I expressed in the beginning had to do with the fact that Apostolics seem to be so gullible in accepting some of these things that they seem to have little knowledge of and what seems to be a shift in the movement. As I stated before, I felt much better after last nights service.
More later. I just got a call from some local folk that want to see me at Shoney's in a few minutes.

Do you think some "prophets" use gimicks to make someone think they know stuff about you? For example, I heard a man call a woman out once and sais she had borderline anemia...well I sat there and wondered how many women don't have anemia and the I also recognized the dark circles under her eyes could be a sign that she has anemia. I wonder how many do this kind of stuff until they get one right and they hype the correct ones and ignore the misses

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Bro. melvin? bean wrote in a book that was published a few years back, that he would beg people to make a false prophet out of him, of course he was more dealing with their souls and eternity. This discussion just brought that back to my memory, I may have to try to find my copy of that book again...

Everyone believes that THEIR "Holy Ghost" allows them to see flaws in everyone else's "Holy Ghost". It is a big vicious, hilarious circle. lol.
It reminds me of kids discussing their imaginary super powers in a never-ending argument regarding who is more powerful.
Very entertaining!

Yes, and it's amusing when someone tries to describe their "discernment" without using the word "feeling"!

But, when someone uses discernment, they are scoffed, doubted, and even attacked. And people wonder why the prophets are silent now? They are accused of being judgmental.
You folks need to leave emotionalism and carnality behind, and for once....For Once, be led by the Spirit. Quit trying to justify every spirit as acceptable. I do believe that we are seeing the beginning of the falling away.
