Pagan is an old english word. It means ‘Country Dweller’ and refers to anyone that the Christian church hasn’t reached yet (ie. those out in the country away from the cities where the churches were first established).

Pagan is an umbrella term. It covers a whole gammut of belief systems. Anyone who isn’t a Christian is by definition a Pagan. Bhudists, Odinites, Wiccans, Pastafarians, anyone.
Thought this was a typo and was going to comment that they might convert me, then I find out its a parody religion, ha! Oh well, I'll stay UPC and just eat a lot of pasta!

Thanks, I can see that you are right.
I had hoped to have a serious discussion, but there is not likely to be one.
Sad.
I withdraw since the minds have clearly shown themselves to be made up regardless of any insight that might be available.

Is this an Italian offshoot of the Rastafarian's?

Seriously, would you consider it Pagan to get piercings and tattoos?

Pagan?

Rom 14:22 Hast thou faith? have [it] to thyself before God. Happy [is] he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.

All of you judges should get off the condemnation band wagon. Hey! I went outside today with a short-sleeve shirt and a pair of sunglasses too. Next Christmas I will have a Xmas tree. Will have an Easteregg hunt with the grandkids and some of the kids at church too, next year.

The pagans are those who have become too righteous in their own eyes to enjoy the festivies around them thinking that they will pollute thier souls in the participation while not realizing that they have already polluted it by the self-righteous arrogance of the heart.

These are the same reasons that Christ condemned the religious leaders of his time, the Sadducees and the Pharisees. Following every letter of the law could not save men. If it could there would have been no need for God to send his son, Jesus to die on the cross as propitiation for our sins.

The danger of the judgement of others holding them to the strict standard of the law of men gives men the arrogance that they are in control of their own destiny and can save themselves...there is no higher form of humanism than that which is propagated by our own self-rightoeus brothers and sisters. You don't have to go to college to get an education in Psychology to know that!

Good post Bro. Strange...the Bible agrees with it in concept and letter. There is no higher authority than this!

Blessings, Rhoni

It's pagan to chew gum in a church parking lot ,especially when one spits it out and folks step on it.
