I also don't think the organization has fallen. I think there are some very good preachers, some very good churches, and some that aren't so much. Sounds pretty much like any other org.

I just think he was lumping all AofG'ers into one pot. I was music director an AofG church and the Holy Ghost was being poured out in a mighty way. They baptized in the name of the Father, Son and HG which is JESUS CHRIST... Emphasized the ONENESS of God almost every sermon...
The gifts of the Spirit in action big time! Tongues/Interpretation, healing, prophecy, etc. People seeking the Holy Ghost in the altars, the Holy Ghost interrupted the service many times.

This is a repeat of history, early church history.

Sister if we take a good long look at this country and it's Pentecostal Charismatic movement it's nothing to brag about. As the years roll on it gets weirder and weaker.
Move of the Holy Ghost or just plain old emotionalism? The pot is boiling over in such a grotesque way, with the latest from Randy and Paula White and Bishop Weeks and Juanita Bynum. The charges filed against Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar, and the rest are just the by-product of Americans becoming sick and tired of the vulgarity of these charlatans whose life mock those who were foolish enough to support their extravagant lifestyles.
AoG kicked out those who were wanting a balance of the scriptures with the move of God, and the AoG has reaped the fruit of their decision. Television issue of the UPCI didn't bring revival it brought division and time will prove that the decision to have television was not worth the cost.

[QUOTE=TRFrance;296203]Any "Pentecostal" denomination where only 20% of its new converts get filled with the Holy Ghost and only 25% get baptized is not really pentecostal at all.
Truly the AG is now more of an Evangelical denomination than pentecostal.
If its true, as I'm hearing, that they have preachers in the AG who never received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, then this denomination has slipped farther than I thought.
No one can receive ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God unless they have been baptized in the Holy Ghost with the initial, physical evidence of speaking in other tongues.
From the A/G Constitution and Bylaws:
"The following qualifications pertain to all applicants for ministerial recognition:
a. Salvation. Testimony to having experienced the new birth (John 3:5).
b. Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Testimony to having received the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical evidence of speaking in other tongues according to Acts 2:4. The Spirit-filled life will enable a minister to fulfill the threefold mission of the church (Constitution, Article V, paragraph 10).
c. Evidence of call. Clear evidence of a divine call to the ministry, evidenced by a personal conviction, confirmed by the work of the Spirit and the testimony of fellow ministers.
d. Christian character. A blameless Christian life and a good report of those who are without (Titus 1:7; 1 Timothy 3:7)."

Help me understand only having 25% of a church Spirit-filled is a scare tactic?
I work with a former AG Pastor who is not independant Trinity. In our area we have 6 AG churches and one is growing- the "restoration church who are active in seeking others be filled with the Holy Spirit"
