I have slept through tornadoes. I live in East Texas and tornadoes are just a part of life here. I don't wanna be right in the middle of one, don't get me wrong, but it's awesome sometimes to see nature's power and fury.

I love the storms also.....as long as it's just thunder, rain and slow winds!

Re: Your Daily Weather Thread
This may be TMI, but the last tornado we had here, I was in the BATHTUB!!!! I thought, "man is it raining or what" and then it got really still and then it started raining really hard again.
About 15 minutes later, I was in bed and the phone rang and it was our neighbor, he asked me if I heard the tornado and I almost freaked out!!!!! I sat straight up in the bed and yelled "TORNADO" and my hubby took the phone away from me.
A lady was killed about 4 miles from my house, while was in the BATHTUB!!!!HELLLO!!!!!! Problem here., I about croaked.

LOL! No that's OK... but please do ensure us you were dressed modest!
Do you have a basement? Does your town have a public warning system, or are you in the country?

Re: Your Daily Weather Thread
We seem to live in Tornado Alley and not hardly anyone has basements here. Something about the soil. We always had basements in Southern Illinois and I only remember one tornado all my growing up years!

Re: Your Daily Weather Thread
WE had tornado warnings or watches all night. I've spent the evening in the basement. I put a folding chair, blanket, pillow, flashlight, bottled water etc under the basement stairway.
I do NOT like storms and believe one should be prepared!!!
I saw too much damage from storms when we were in SD. Is there anyplace with no tornadoes?? I'll move there...lol
