I used to be scared to DEATH of this concept. I was so afraid that I would forget some little sin that I had committed, not repent over it, and be lost on Judgment Day. I used to be pretty certain that would happen, actually, because I knew that I would never be able to remember every little wrong thought that had crossed my mind.
I was waaay into adulthood before I ever felt assurance of my salvation.
