In the Hispanic circles, we were not exposed to this type of preacher humor, thankfully ... but I remember some would be pretty explicit with bathroom and other sophomoric humor from the pulpit.

The approval is what is as puzzling. You'd think it was the Improv.

Does seem inconsistent but we have come accustomed to the "do as I don't do" doctrine.

It's all relative and can fluctuate from week to week.
Obviously.

The shame to me is that among that congregation he got away with it! The condemnation thrown at the "preacher I ran across on the internet" is staggering in light of the events that took place in his own pulpit ONE WEEK LATER!!

Where is the outrage?

Why is RM jumping, clapping, and worshippping to a James Brown tune and a hostile takeover by a "James Brown spirit" when he condemned the same thing a week earlier???

Maybe, it's only wrong if you don't agree with his doctrine....preach skirts, hair, three steps, and modalism and you can use all the rock songs you want to illustrate your message.......I get it......

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

One of the most explict sermons I ever heard was in a Spanish revival about the "way of the eagle".
Fortunately, my spanish was not good enough to get the full intent, but one of my "buddies" explained what I missed.
Whew..
Then there was that Ike Terry message, which we destroyed all of the tapes and Cd's because the pastors' wife was so horrified about it.
That was the second and last time he preached at our church.

We brought in a marriage counselor a few years ago to speak to the married couples from Colombia at dad's ... and dad never thought of ever bringing him back ... EVER.

Not as bad as some old friends who held a couples retreat a few years ago in Virginia ... they gave instructions the night before and expected a full report in the morning.

Re: A Relevant Holiness Message

I think RM should be given a pass on this one. It wasn't him that contradicted his words from the 1st sermon... it was a visiting preacher. I know no one would expect any pastor to stop the man right in the middle of his sermon. I also know no one would expect the congregation to walk out or not participate because of what RM preached the previous week.

I think the dancing and shouting he did (RM) in the back ground showed his approval......
