The next week what was preached againt last week seems to be endorsed with laughter, and jumping, and clapping.....A James Brown spirit singing a James Brown tune in a worship service...
This has simpy made me curious as to how a pastor would address this contradiction...
I'm not uptight, nor am I fighting, nor am I condemning RM or GP. RM and I have been friends since we were teens. In the 90's we even preached youth camps together. I have no bone to pick, I'm just curious what his true response is in light of the two clips.

I've read quite a bit about Jeremiah Wright. Not just listening to that particular 5 second clip.

And if the elder had been Timothy Creel who let the s-word slip, we would respect him and let it go?

Reading Mark Levin and Michael Savage doesn't qualify as reading.

I don't know about that, but I do know that my BIL accidentally said the "b" word during a sermon, and that was let go.

I could never survive it, but the relevant points to compare are plenty sufficient and I don't need to watch the entire thing to know there is 1) A blatant contradiction taking place; and 2) Complete disrespect and mockery for an "elder", brother, fellow minister.

10 minutes of audio germane to the topic ... which is a contradiction concerning being "relevant"
... if she wants to hear him read somebody's mail ... it's all there ... I painfully listened to the whole thing as well.
It's more like posturing by playing the "I'm being objective and reasonable" ... "but I'd never listen to 5 second clip without taking Rush Limbaugh's word for it" card

I do know about it, I was there, and I was on the platform with the CLC choir. Timothy Creel said ONE WORD and his career was toast.

Yes I did watch both sermons. In the context of using a rock song or not...the edited clips are in context as far as I can tell.
RM condemned the use of rock songs for sermon illustrations and made another preacher look really bad in front of his congregation....one week later GP does exactly what RM preached against with the congregations approval...
No shafty editing....it happened just like that.

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?
Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.
