Re: Lets make a list...
Covenant Church in the Dallas area pastored by Mike Hayes. The church name was different but Mike Hayes started it as a home missions type church several decades ago and I believe it was UPC then.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

New Heart Worship Center in Seattle founded and pastored by Joe Parker for about 30 years before he left a couple of years ago to pastor in Idaho or Iowa (I forget which).

He's in Idaho at www.celebratelifeidaho.com
My former pastor, Bud Yadon is a part of this church.
Do you know the Parkers?
Also, New Life Fellowship of Boise was once UPC. It's now independant, pastored by Loren Yadon.

My wife was very close to Wilma / Jean many years ago. I got to meet them and have dinner with them once about 12 years ago. Great people.

That's wonderful. Pastor Parker baptized one of my best friends and her family in the early 90's when they were still in Federal Way.
On a side note, Pastor Parker always reminded me of Vince Gill!

They are still on the UPCI church locator, for some strange reason....but I assure you, they are no longer affiliated.
