Bottom line, in the Arab world the men are not taught to control their lusts...the issue of lust and self-control is controlled outwardly but putting a dress code on the women...
Watch the video again. It's all about women wearing blankets, covering every inch of their body including their hair, or else they are immodest and in anarchy...who would care about the "immodesty" of the woman's skin showing on her forearm or scalp? The MEN who cannot conrol their lust...certainly not the women...except in the fact that their HUSBANDS can't control their lusts so the other women need to wear blankets in 110 degree weather...
The irony of it all is that their own doctrine produces this mentality. No where in the world is hair and scalp, or a forearm, considered sensual...unless you have been programmed since childhood to believe forearms and hair and scalp is sensual...
When it's beat into you every day...that is sensual...then every time you see it guess what...you lust...

I wonder how their blankets differ from what Mary wore?

This is true. I was raised with a conservative Apostolic belief system, much of which still today is woven into my worldview. I have certain prejudiced views of certain lifestyles, beliefs etc. that were taught to me using holy scripture. I can't rid myself of them because they are part of who I am.
I don't think I could ever comfortably attend a trinitarian church. Watching someone getting baptised in the titles still bothers me a lot when I visit another church. I can't fatham converting to Islam! I can't fatham converting to Catholicism. In a sense, I've been programmed and I can't help it!

Programing is good. We are commanded to TRAIN up a child in the way that he should go. Training and programing is the same.

Programming demands automatic responses ...training teaches the why and how ... one will result in a "dead" christian mired in ritualistic tradition ... the other results in a Spirit-led christian.

This is a very good response, and makes sense!
Programming is teaching someone to do things a certain way because that's how it's done, while training invites questions and probing as to why things are the way they are!

Diane Sawyers with ABC Good Morning America did a segment on women in the middle east who wear the burka, underneath they wear makeup, paint their nails wear jeweler, western wear, they dress like most women in the world. They are aloud to remove the burka amongst other women or in their own home.
