Market dumps 163 points after SC ruling.

Probably goo d news in Obama and his supporters eyes. They want the whole country on welfare and socialized healthcare, dependant on the good ol Fed for there every need. If the market tanks it just hurts more and more people financially making them more susceptable to the idea that "the Government will take care of me".

Thoughts?

Romney will not fix this, period. It takes guts, the ability to unify all of Congress to change something of this magnitude. Don't forget Romney is proud of his health care bill in MA and thinks it's a good idea for all states.

It was an election year (Ike & whoever)and politics was on everyone's mind...except maybe my mother.
Anyway, she recalls the doctor saying to that if she voted for a Democrat she was "voting for socialized medicine."
SO...universal health care is not a new idea, and certainly not 'an Obama thing'.
And no...I am NOT a supporter of President Obama.

Healthcare, is not a right as a US Citizen. There are laws, like EMTALA that are in place that do not let hospitals turn down folks for inability to pay, which is tragic... and has forced us slowly and softly into Socialistic Healthcare.
As a Christian, I do believe we personally, via private organizations, churches etc have a morale responsibility to help those that can't afford healthcare, but not via a governmental mandate. And no one in the US should ever feel they are entitled to Healthcare as a right, it's just not in the Constitution...
and if I'm entitled to healthcare, why not groceries? Or shelter?
Today, our freedoms took a huge blow... say good bye to freedom and liberty, hello tyranny.

As I have stated many times PO, I firmly disagree with you.
I hope I have the chance to say "I told you so!"
And I would hope that you hope the same.

I hope you have the chance also. But, logically, it doesn't make sense that Romney has a leg to stand on with the mandates. Obama just said, "The current Republican nominee supports mandates." Whether at the Federal or State level, mandates are socialism.
The Republican party never tried to fix this, so this is where we have arrived. And if Romney plans on trying to fix this, he better get a plan other than "repeal".

Re: Sad Faces at GOP TV
Mitt Romney said in 2007 that the individual mandate, which is the centerpiece of ObamaCare upheld by the Supreme Court today as a tax, was the “Ultimate Conservatism.” Romney said people going to the hospital and “getting free care” was a “form of socialism.”
Go figure - charity is socialism.

This issue will energize the GOP! Romney will have an alternate plan in place in the next month or so. He will keep parts of Obamacare that both sides agreed on, and throw out the mandated "tax".
IMO, Chief Justice Roberts made a political move by affirming Obamacare. He knew that this would usher in a new GOP administration that will do the dirty work of overturning it.
This "victory" for Obama will cause him to lose this Fall!

I hope you are right. I just wonder why he didn't have a plan in place already. Romney dropped a point at InTrade today and Obama gained a point. We will see if his "plan" causes a bump in months to come.
