March Job Numbers
This is Obama's economy. Only 95,000 jobs were created last month. About half of what is needed JUST TO BREAK EVEN based on people leaving the job sector and those entering it.
When will Obama have the responsibility of this economy hung about his neck? He had full control of the executive and legislative from 2009-2011. He has had control of the Oval Office and Senate from 2011 to the present. He is the president. He has the most influential and powerful position on earth. He promised low unemployment within his first term. It didn't happen. he said there were shovel ready jobs just waiting with the infusion of trillions of dollars in stimulus spending. Later he admitted that the jobs weren't so shovel ready and chuckled. There are less people working than have ever been in the past 35 years. There are more people on food stamps than in history. There are more people dependent on government assistance than in history. The national debt is at its highest in history. The deficit is at it's highest in history. The economy is barely growing. 3-4% growth is considered strong. It hasn't broken 2% in a long time. I don't think ever under BO, if I'm not mistaken.
Is there anybody here willing to say that this president is responsible at some point for the state of this economy. You know you would be tooting your horns if it was robust and breaking records for prosperity and wealth creation. Does he only get credit when it is good, but shoulders zero blame when it's bad?

I have no problem saying its his economy, and the numbers would be worse if they showed all the truth, the welfare rolls are though the roof, food stamps, and many are going on disability because their unemployment ran out...some have just plain fallen out of the picture...so many have just given up! Whenever they report how sales are up, I want to know how much of that is on credit, a loan...I bet little is cash sales. Our economy is much worse than most realize!

Re: March Job Numbers
it would be obama's fault if the republicans wouldn't have forced sequester and would have passed the jobs act. obama wants to do more for the economy, republicans won't let him and will pay in 2014.

You know very well that the sequester had nothing to do with this. I was wondering how long it would take you to tow the party line like a mindless lemming/parrot hybrid. There was no sequester last month or the month before, and things stunk then like now. But again, you know this.
Obama wants to do "more for the economy". You mean more to finish off what is left of it with more of his failed policies. Obama's policies are choking our economy.
Here it is. TAX HIKES are causing the economy to slow, not to mention the continuing fear businesses have of Obamacare..

Re: March Job Numbers
The March Job Numbers are an indictment of the Executive and Legislative branches of government. Congress definitely has a part in this soup sandwich.
Still, the buck stops with the President of the United States, President Obama.
He and his team need to come up with a different approach.
I really wish the GOP-controlled House of Representatives would be more willing to work with the President. Their numb-skullery will only hurt the country and will do very little to win more support.
The last Presidential election should have told them this, but I guess my party is too blind to see and too deaf to hear.

Re: March Job Numbers
Work w Obama? With him it's all or nothing. You give him all he wants, you get nothing you want. He doesn't negotiate, he doesn't know how to finesse people, or how to handle opposition. Reagan did. Clinton did. The GOP Congress has learned if you give him what he wants, they will get nothing. Now they are jaded and realize past compromises turned against them. Last election should tell us one thing: don't run a liberal moderate for president.
Dedicated Mind. You are too predictable. Obama will never be responsible for anything wrong, only all that is right. Voters like you are why this nation is a mess. You have no objectivity. Blind.

Do you have any examples of this?

I don't want the Congress to cooperate with Obama in destroying the country.

Most major corporations pay little to nothing. Obama tax hikes are only hitting 3% of small businesses if that. So please explain how letting the taxes go back to pre Bush era rates are hurting us? The GOPs attitude of lets not do anything to help the economy to make Obama and Dems look bad is hurting the economy. We have had the rich pay far more taxes in our history with far less unemployment.
