Sean?

Where is the temple, priesthood, and animal sacrifices? Sean, every jot and tittle was supposed to be still in effect until all be completed? Sean, no one on the planet earth keeps the Law system as prescribed in the Hebrew Bible.

I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God's law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.

Sean, what happened?

Matthew 5:18 says not one of the smallest details of the law will disappear while heaven and earth is standing? But when heaven and earth disappear then some of those details go with it? Interesting?

So, Sean, why don't you ask your pastor, Brother Google to show you what that meaneth?
Sean?

Where did you answer this post?

Oh, you actually did not know that the Law is still in effect for sinners, but not for saints!!!

You have a lot to learn!

I bet you think the Epistles like this are written to sinners huh....

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one.....No, it does not say that, does it?

Howbout this... 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Re: Scoffers on AFF

I am beating my head against a wall, Sean you think that your subterfuge will get you what you want. But instead you just keep twisting things up more and more.

Why did Jesus speak in parables? When he spoke in parables were they literal. And how were they literal?

Take the parable of the mustard seed.
Mat 13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
Mat 13:32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

According to the way you would have us interpret scripture everything is literal. So the kingdom of God is going to be a tree. That real birds are going to nest in.

Sean who was Christ speaking about in this parable?
Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
Mat 21:32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
Mat 21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
Mat 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
Mat 21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
Mat 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
Mat 21:37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
Mat 21:38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
Mat 21:39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.
Mat 21:40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
Mat 21:41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
Mat 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Mat 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
Mat 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
Mat 21:45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
Mat 21:46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

Why does he speak in riddles why not just say to the religious leaders that they are the ones that are going to be destroyed?

Loren, when Jesus spoke a parable, the Bible says it is a parable.

What gives you the right to make half of everything He said a parable?

Now you even have Peter speaking in parables(in 2 Peter 3)...LOL

I am glad Paul did not speak in parables though, since he wrote half the New Testament(what a mess that would be)....LOL

You missed the whole point of the question and you did not answer the question, just more subterfuge. Once again you want us to answer your questions that you ask and ask even when they have been answered on other threads, yet you will not answer our questions.

The point was even when Christ spoke in parables, there was a literal meaning, in Matt 21 he was speaking about the pharisees they even perceived this, but what they did not perceive was in what manner he was addressing them.

Prophecy of scripture uses the same kind of wording, figurative, speaking. Such as worlds being destroyed, does not mean literal heaven and earth. But world systems, governments, religious systems. Which is just what happened when Jerusalem was destroyed as per 2 Peter. Peter compares the world of Noah being destroyed by water, The fact is the earth was not destroyed but the unrighteous government and people were destroyed by water. But in 70ad the religious system of Judaism was destroyed and by fire, just as history tells us. Titus burned the city, then dismantled the city stone by stone.
But you don't want to see that because in blows your teaching of a future time when this earth is supposedly destroyed.
The problem is you cannot make your time lines jive.
