Man, all this stuff is confusing to me. One would think there would be a simple process to eliminate what is history and what is future.

2 verses for starters......

Psalm 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel......

Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Sean, when pressed you reveal that you do not even agree with a literal interpretation, at least at Rev, so what are you asking?

yes--and i suggest to you that there is. Leaving aside the obvious implications of "Understand I AM" for the moment, all one need do is ask themselves how holding either perspective, or even a belief in some elements of both, changes how they operate right now, which is after all the only place we will ever be. It is always "now," iow, but even a preterist has a belief in a "then." Things will be different then--whenever then might be--than they are now, the only diff being that then will have become now.

So, outlining the differences in a preterist v a futurist perspective of "now" might clarify our widely held confusion, which btw i believe is manufactured, and intended at some level in order to obscure the kingdom.

None of that spoke of him ruling on earth physically. Still waiting.

Strange to be seeing Apostolics laugh at end time signs like I see today(current events, false prophets, a soon cashless society etc.), but it WAS prophecied this would happen.

again, i doubt you could find a preterist who would deny that the future will be different from now; you are intentionally accusing them of something that is not true, and being deliberately obtuse so as not to accept that this is a spiritual fullfillment, which prolly no one fully grasps, perhaps, but which you insist, vehemently, that you have all figured out, Christ spitting swords, and no two ways about it lol. ok.
