A friend of mine made this awesome Paula Deen recipe tonight, so I thought I'd share it. I'm going to make it soon and see if my crew will eat it.
Chicken and Wild Rice
2 T. butter
1 med. onion, peeled and diced
3 c. diced, cooked white meat chicken
2 cans green beans, drained and rinsed
a can water chestnuts, drained & chopped
1 can cream of celery soup
1 c. real mayonnaise
1 (6 oz.) box long grain wild rice, cooked according to directions on package
1 c. grated sharp Cheddar
Pinch of salt
Optional - pimentos
Preheat over to 350 degrees. Heat butter in a small skillet over med. heat. Saute onions until clear, about five minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl. Add all remaining ingredients to the bowl and mix together well. Pour into a greased 3 qt. casserole dish. Bake for 20-25 min. or until buble. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
This is AWESOME!!!

Did Carolyn make it? She made this at her house and it was wonderful. She was so sweet and made a whole separate casserole dish for me to take home for Jon.

We draw so many women each month from other churches in town. It is fun and food in the fellowship hall, but once we get in the sanctuary, it is church. That's what I love about it.

If you'll bring your lovely wife, we'll let you come to our next one. We can say we have a television star in our midst.....
