I guess gone are the days of running around with clean safe fun in a neighborhood. I think we have a curfew of 1 am. for the ages of my girls. Again, I understand it being city property and requiring a curfew...but private property is different.
The police were called to my house one night last summer… my neighbor who looks out for us saw what he thought was males in black coming out my daughter’s window and down the ladder. The police showed up and I thanked him but assured him it wasn’t men but my daughters… The police wanted to check and make sure…and I let them check things out….but I knew what my girls were up to. They aren’t typical girls and the police found my girls in the backyard in black pants, black shirts with black hose over their heads playing some type of game…. They were then 14,15 and 16…. Having fun… LOL I’m sorry, but I see their creativity as what it is… creative and active minds.. I allow for this type of stuff… I let them be kids..
I live in a safe suburb….in the same house and neighborhood that I ran around playing hide and seek and other games…. We ran all over the neighborhood….in and out of other neighbor’s yards.. I don’t allow my kids to do that like I did, but in my yard it is fine..
Not every community is like yours.... many have grew much worse through the years.... and thus police inquiries are justified and warranted....

More like STUPID ADULTS JUMPING TO STUPID CONCLUSIONS!
Good grief...next thing you know we'll be preaching against Hide & Seek cause some stupid neighbor might think our youth are criminals with evil intentions all because they are hiding in the bushes!
If the kids are out late at night doing it, they should preach against it! The issue isn't the activity, it's the time of night when they were doing it, how the kids were dressed (excuse me, gas masks???) and what the activity looked like when the police drove up.

PRIVATE PROPERTY AND ADULT SUPERVISION makes time of night, how they were dressed, and what it looked like to the police irrelevant!
If they weren't disturbing anyone around them, there was no call for police intervention other than simple verification that there were adults present and that all was well.
Preach against it...thats laughable. Apostolic adults roam the streets at all hours during conferences because they are doing the apostolic thing...eating out! Due to the large number of people, restaurants are packed and eating out often keeps people out till 2-3 am. Hookers, drunks, and criminals roam the same streets at the same times so why don't we preach against this? Isn't this dangerous? Doesn't this look bad? Especially our fine dressed ladies out at this time of night...tsk tsk tsk! FOR SHAME!

It doesn't make what it looked like to the police irrelevant at all. I guess you've never heard of street gangs where some of the members are teens and others are adults. The teens are under adult supervision; so, according to you their standing on private property shouldn't be of concern to the police.

Ah, the modern wickedness of "well, as long as they're not disturbing anyone (or it's not harming anyone) there's nothing wrong with it."

But we're not talking about adults, we're talking about children.

does this include youth activitive like Lock-ins?
the Madison incident involved Church sponcered activity supervised by youth leaders. the kids apparantly were where their parents knew they were, doing what their parents knew they were doing, with adults their parents knew they were with on PRIVATE PROPERTY their parents (and thus the kids) had access to via their membership with the church.
what is the world is the problem here?

Read the article again. They were outside, late at night, dressed in black trench coats and gas masks. Oh, and let's not forget that the article said the pastor (I presume senior pastor) didn't know anything about the activity.
My son has a LOT of money (four figures in front of the decimal) invested in both paintball and airsoft guns and gear. He holds the rank of 1st Sgt in his air soft brigade. They travel all over the area playing in tournaments. This is a sanctioned activity that is accepted. The majority of his team mates are military veterans and they condition and train like military.
Can anyone say over zealous prosecution or legislation? Can anyone say an open attack on a church for the sake of attacking a church? Someone is stupid here but i don't think it was the kids!
They don't do the same with paintball guns, nor do they out law real guns for hunting...and lets not forget Dick Cheney???

There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
This activity is going on at a church and the pastor doesn't know about it???? Oh, I'm sorry, it's seven pastors! Do any of the seven pastors know about this going on and do they even know the adult who is organizing the event?

I'm sure senior pastor JG is loving this publicity.... (TIC)
