Not totally.
We agree on basic doctrine, but our holiness standards vary wildly.

And give kickbacks to officials on monies raised through fundraising.

Yes I work a secular job and I help at my local church ,very rarely do I preach out but I do on occasion ,My Pastor is UPCI.My Pastor does approve of my preaching out.
I do fill in for him when he goes out of town ,and do preach an occasional sunday night service.
My rule of thumb is this any subject that me and my Pastor disagree on ,I don't preach my side to the church ,his view is what they hear,I let him handle the pastoral subjects.

In my experience, any minister under sixty is considered a "young man" in the UPC. He is expected to hold his tongue at business meetings until that age. Funny when you consider we have congressmen, senators and even presidents with much experience and input before the age of 45.
|
Do you think this is true UPC-wide? Or does it depend on the district and the leadership of any particular district?
I think young men need to be given a chance, but young men who are pushing and shoving for position, leverage and a voice may be considered a pain in the neck.

I may be wrong about this, but doesn't graduation from a UPC Bible College mean that the person qualifies for a General License? Or does this vary from district to district? I've heard Bible school enrollment and graduation is down, but are the graduates just not seeking licensing in as great a number as before?

If your degree means nothing in comparison to a pedigree .... why even try.

I don't see any young men pushing for position.
What position is there to push for?
I do believe it is true fellowship wide, that's why there is less than 400.

A BC degree is a worthless piece of paper. Many of our youth have figured this out. Perhaps their parents realized there was no value in that diploma and urged them to seek a real degree elsewhere?
