Of course it could be strictly a biological thing where the cat is sensing physical changes as the body shuts down but it would be interesting to know for sure that this cat has not been used in any part of witchcraft.
I do tend to think my first thesis is probably the correct one. I know that many times animals can sense things we do not such as a storm coming, etc because of subtle changes in wind pressure, smell, etc.
