While it seems odd to hear someone say that those in attendance said that there was no hint of bitterness or animosity. Just a precious Pentecostal icon letting the world know that his ministy is going to pretty much be limited to overseas.
Ladies and Gentlemen, there are very few men with the character and humility of James Kilgore. I can't question the man's character but I do wish I knew what was in the Bishop's mind. His kind simply can't be replaced.

Only one James Kilgore! What a wonderful man! Being one of those fortunate and blessed enough to be on the receiving end of his kindness and generosity I can only testify to the calibre of this man. It's of the highest quality.

I remember seeing a sermon on TBN titled, "Help, I've Fallen and the Church Won't Let Me Get Back UP."

Wonderful. A thread started to honor one of the greatest among us almost turned into another Affirmation Statement debate.
The man deserves honor and it's humorous to me that even honoring a well deserving Elder can be tarnished if we're not careful. The man deserves honor. Period.

Ok, then how about this. Pastor Kilgore has been the UPC's classiest statesman and has always represented us well. The man will forever be known as a gifted speaker, humble servant, and a prayer warrior.

Impossible. He has pastored in Texas for the last 100 years or so. He has held some National and TX District offices with the UPC but I don't believe in the 80's they had a preacher pastoring in Houston Texas as the DS of VA!!!!
