I think that forum admins must be totally over their heads with all this stuff and I don't know how they're not able to become totally immersed and absorbed in the lives of some of the people of these forums.
They watch and see everything.

Hmmm... Where did you get the idea that admins/mods read every post on the forum? I don't. I read only threads that interest me by the titles-- and anything that gets reported. I'm pretty sure that's about how the rest of the team does too. I don't deal with a zillion PMs and emails... someone else does email (and I'm so glad it isn't me, I barely keep up with my own personal email!) Counseling wasn't in my job description. We don't get involved in people's personal lives (or at least I don't). At any time I feel like I'm in over my head here, I just log out.
I would like to believe that I'm still in my right mind too. :sshhh
