Like Elder Strange, I, too, know Rhonda personally...I have spent time with her in deep conversations and we have broken bread several times.

I know the hurts and have seen the scars...no one here is taking a jab at my friend.

The thing that others did not know or understand, including myself, is that the opening post was meant to stir the pot.

I thought she was serious as did others who posted...

I love her and pray for her EVERY day and she knows it, but I did not care for her analogy myself...no biggie though 'cause that's just my opinion and Rhoni won't lose sleep over it!!

If I lost sleep over what someone said on here, I would get little sleep. Everyone at one time or the other has said something that has been distubing to me at one time or another...including myself. Bro. Scott might be the only exception....

You are correct in your statement. However, I am just curious what good intent you think Rhoni might have had in her original post?

In my opinion the "I was stirring or yanking" statements are way thin on believability, whether coming from a friend like myself or Rhoni herself. It was a very pointed attack at both men and Apostolics with no hint of humor.

That is just the way I saw and it and I, as a man who has tried to love my wife and family as Christ loved the church, was offended (I quickly got over it and forgave Rhoni but I was offended).

When "stirring the pot" causes incrimination upon a whole organization, and all men in said org are broadbrushed as being dominating over women, I think the "stirring the pot" has went beyond mere fun, and has the potential to offend.

Let's not take what she said too seriously. Sometimes there is a need to blow off a little steam in a place where others are big enough to chalk it up for what it is...just steam and nothing more. When there is a need to be heard, then let the rest of us hear and understand what is being said that is sometimes NOT being said.

I don't think anyone was incriminated or any men broadbrushed and no one should be offended...unless they just want to be. Any response to her initial post should have been little more than just humor. Certainly if there were any substance for concern here, I would have been the first to have respond negatively.

Bro. Strange, I love you dearly, and you know that. I appreciate your chivalry here. But, I am sad to say that I do believe I am chalking this up for what it is...it is steam alright--but that steam seems to continually come from the same smoke stack, and the source of the fuel under that smoke stack is the cause for our concern.

This is hilarious. I was attracted to the Apostolic church because the men were such gentlemen!

I've met jerky men at George Strait concerts and drunk at rodeos.

If I was looking for a large percentage of jerky men I would probably be guaranteed to find one in a bar.

I wouldn't expect to see the largest percentage in an Apostolic church, but maybe I just don't bring out the jerk in them. I don't know.
