Ahh....probubly right.

I never was impressed by the Music of Kiss...they were more of a Stage show than anything else.

But, Gene Simmons is a very smart marketing man.

This is on target. Gene Simmons is SOOOO normal in his day to day life. KISS was totally marketing... which is not to say it was good but it was not real in the sense of a Marilyn Manson or some of the others. When these guys came off stage they blended transparently into the mainstream for the most part.

As to the makeup and the performing of the KISS music... again I would be cautious about sowing a seed of question into his mind by over emphasizing my concern. This is a trip down to the land of nostalgia and is not likely to catch on with him or his peers. JMHO

The Hawks.

However, according to my son, it's got nothing to do with the school but everything do so with the band and homecoming.

I guess I should have made this a poll.....LOL!

So, I should think nothing of it and let him wear the shirt, wear the makeup and perform KISS songs on Saturday?

Kiss was popular during my "wild years'. I had their music and went to their concerts.

I would say that this is my issue with the public school system. For a school to disallow prayer and bible reading, but to allow AND PROMOTE a group of singers that very openly flaunted sexuality and everything that is "against God".

What fellowship hath light with darkness? I first would sit down with my son and explain to him what the group Kiss was all about. I may even take him to youtube and let him hear songs like "Love Gun". I would then ask him what he believes would please Jesus Christ, and if this type of stuff resembled what a Christian would do. If he said yes, I would drag him to the alter and shake him until he prayed through!!!

of course the last line is purely TIC

Ah, KISS.

Who was that evangelist who was the Richard Heard wannabe who claimed he was an FBI agent, A Navy SEAL, probably a US Congressman etc. etc. etc. ... all before he was 30?

Of course he and a multitude of others claimed to have secret information that KISS stood for "Kings In Satanic Service" and were probably the forerunners of the anti-christ.

I guess they're corrupting those senior citizens on the Branson circuit now.

One of the senior citizens they're probably corrupting is the "forerunner" of the anti-christ that Jonathan Urshan preached about for 40-some-odd years that was going to come "any moment" from over there in Palestine somewhere - the guy that Andrew Urshan saw call fire down from heaven etc. etc.

He sure got a lot of mileage out of that one.

The guy will probably appear on a walker and with a colostomy bag; as old as he'd be by now.

KISS would be what I call "bubblegum" hard rock.

Hey, I do envy Gene Simmons or any man married to Shannon Tweed.

That is one FINE hunk of woman.

For my money, the best KISS related song was "New York Groove" off of Ace Frehley's solo album.

Here is a very unoffensive video where some guy put together scenes of New York.

Frehley was a native New Yorker and his love for his hometown is evident in the song.
