Whoa... I didn't catch the bit about having to wear "KISS" makeup. I'd put my foot down right there. Just look at what that's done to Peter Criss' complexion. I'd tell him he can wear the fishnet stockings and platform shoes as long as it's warm outside- but no makeup!

(Wait-a-minute...fishnet?)

I'd say don't make a big deal out of it, KISS is actually EXTREMELY tame and even has songs ("God gave Rock and Roll" for example) that could be seen as "Christian" songs (and have been covered by numerous Christian bands)
Oh rubbish....it's one thing to call them tame but quite another to try to say they are "Christian" songs.

Of course he and a multitude of others claimed to have secret information that KISS stood for "Kings In Satanic Service" and were probably the forerunners of the anti-christ.

I guess they're corrupting those senior citizens on the Branson circuit now.

One of the senior citizens they're probably corrupting is the "forerunner" of the anti-christ that Jonathan Urshan preached about for 40-some-odd years that was going to come "any moment" from over there in Palestine somewhere - the guy that Andrew Urshan saw call fire down from heaven etc. etc.

He sure got a lot of mileage out of that one.

The guy will probably appear on a walker and with a colostomy bag; as old as he'd be by now.

KISS would be what I call "bubblegum" hard rock.

Hey, I do envy Gene Simmons or any man married to Shannon Tweed.

That is one FINE hunk of woman.

For my money, the best KISS related song was "New York Groove" off of Ace Frehley's solo album.

Here is a very unoffensive video where some guy put together scenes of New York.

Frehley was a native New Yorker and his love for his hometown is evident in the song.

Ahhhh. HE LIVES! HE LIVES!

BTW I remember the "evangelist" but he wasn't Oneness. I heard him preach in what sounded like an AOG church (on tape)

Todd was the last name maybe? I can't remember. He was saying that he had just a little more time left to tell his story (hinting that eventually the witches will find him and kill him)

No really:

"You can take a stand, or you can compromise
You can work real hard or just fantasize
But you don't start livin' till you realize - I gotta tell ya!

God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Gave rock and roll to everyone
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Put it in the soul"

That was, like, totally the anthem of the UCs'.

Uh ... THIS evangelist was indeed "oneness" or pretty much a pragmatist.

He preached at Living Way in Lake Charles for either John Wilkins, Keith Clark or Mike Chance and I'm sure you know none of those guys would preach an AOG.

You know, seriously this time...

There is an element of KISS style Rock n' Roll in "Evangelism."

I'm thinking of people who become a parody of themselves, like Bob Larson, the Bakkers, Dave Hunt and Tex Marss, Jack Chick and "Alberto," "Dr. Dino" Kent Hovind ... the list goes on.

Bob Larson definitely became a parody of himself.

When it came to begging for money, he could make those offerings at General Conference look like they lasted only three minutes.
