I've PM'd those of the opposite sex and thought nothing of it. Conversations have been about general things, nothing that I would classify as overly personal or inappropriate and I've had no long term ongoing conversations. Its just basic common sense. I don't believe PMs in general with the opposite sex are taboo.
The accountability HO is referring to is in regards to PUBLIC posts on this forum.
