So how old is the "tradition" of watch night service?

We'll be ringing in the new year either at home or at my brother in laws.

That's the way ht I feel about it... we meet at 9:00 PM and have some fellowship and maybe some snacks... About 10:30 we have church, and after midnight we go home...

We will be having watch night service tomorrow night. Most churches in our area are getting away from this.

I am happy that I will be off work tomorrow and Tuesday!!!!

our church still has it faithfully we have never missed one year in all the 53 years

my pastor annoucned that we are having foot washing today and reminded everyone to please take a bath and wash their feet BEFORE they come LOL

It will be in a side room private. I am putting on a singsperation while that is going on
