I think there is a danger of seeing one side begin to negate the other when people actually think our clothing shows the world who we are. That is never spoken in the bible. So, thinking erringly about this, will surely see a true imbalance spring up in time.

I still think separation is never associated with clothing in the Bible. I USED to think that, but upon study I found clothing is simply for modesty's sake ALONE, and not to distinguish us as believers.
In summary, dress modestly for modesty's sake alone, and let God's love flow through to show the world we are different.
There is BALANCE involved as far as two totally separate issues are concerned... 1) modesty and 2) showing the world who we are. So dress modest to be modest, and at the same time love one another to show the world who we are.

We do not see this so differently, infact I agree with you. I was just referring to you earlier post...
(I still believe in separation from the world by how we love one another. Unfortunately that puts a lot of standard keepers in the "outs". The more we stress the outward above inward, the more bitter we are to others. My thoughts, anyway.)
I believe you can have both separation, Holiness, (whatever term you choose to use), and still show love to the world. One should not negate the other!

Amen! Not all people with many outward standards are unloving. I saw through experience, that stressing outward above inward is not good. Inward is always above outward, but outward should reflect the inward. Since outward reflects, it is not to be stressed more, because the inward source of the outward can only work if we stress it more. The SOURCE must always be stressed more. But we cannot leave the other undone, either.

If you are still a true Apostolic, shouldn't you be offended by ministers painting you as such just because there are some here who don't believe in strict Standards? NOt everyone AFF has gone "Charismatic".
