- Shelved the Hart-Rudman report.
- Appointed new anti-terrorism task force under Dick Cheney. Group did not even meet before 9/11.
- Called for cuts in anti-terrorism efforts by the Department of Defense.
- Gave no priority to anti-terrorism efforts by Justice Department.
- Ignored warnings from Sandy Berger, Louis Freeh, George Tennant, Paul Bremer, and Richard Clarke about the urgency of terrorist threats.
- Halted Predator drone tracking of Osama bin Laden.
- Did nothing in wake of August 6 C.I.A. report to president saying Al Qaeda attack by hijack of an airliner almost certain.
- Bush - knowing about the terrorists' plans to attack in America, warned that terrorists were in flight schools in the US - took a four week vacation.
- By failing to order any coordination of intelligence data, missed opportunity to stop the 9/11 plot as Clinton-Gore had stopped the millennium plots.
On 9/11
- our Air National Defense was directed to stand down.
- the two fighter jets that were scrambled flew out to sea, away from Washington and New York and the attacking air liners.
- After one of four airliners had crashed into the World Trade Center and 3 more airliners were still heading toward critical targets, the President continued to read "My Pet Goat" to third graders, claiming that he didn't want to scare them, and then had them gather around for his press conference to hear the dreadful news strait from the horse's mouth.

The attacks on 9/11 took place during Bush’s watch for a reason. The took place because…they could.

Those are just my thoughts on the subject. But I doubt they really matter to the Bush coolaide drinkers. LOL
oh ok, and how does that clinton coolaid go down, i hope sweet and smooth, later good luck with the clintons, i certainly dont need them, oh and by the way i do know them, lol,dt

I'm lost here.... He goes to a lot of churches- what would be the point?

I have to say, I think the media gave him a HUGE pass when he fell asleep during MLK II's message - anyone see that pic of him slumped over in a chair ?

At least he went, was all I was going to say, except the thread seemed to change course and was no longer discussing Clinton going to N. Jones church.

Anyway...get that pic, that sounds hilarious!

They always fall back on abortion. Clinton doesn’t agree with abortion; he does believe that the Government is better left out of issue leaving the choice ultimately up to individual women. I vote, instead of blame him for their choices…blame the women who choose abortion.

As for taxes…Clinton raised taxes to offset the deficits created by Bush I. Deficits don’t just go away. They linger and affect the economy and the value of our money. Clinton had to raise taxes to fund the government (many unfunded programs instituted by Bush I) and his own programs. Now we’re running record deficits again and the American people might elect another Clinton to office. The next Clinton will HAVE to raise taxes to pay the deficit, fund unfunded programs of the Bush II administration like No Child Left Behind, and the initiatives she was elected to begin. The war in Iraq (which wasn’t necessary, it was a war of choice) is costing us nearly 10 BILLION dollars a month. Guess what…that’s pushing us further into deficits because the most recent Bush budget only accounts for the first few months of war spending, not the entire year. You’re going to have to help pay for Bush’s war bro…that means Hillary will raise taxes...or repeal the Bush tax cuts to get us back into budget and begin the programs she was elected to implement.

Don’t blame Clinton when your taxes go up…you’re paying for the past 8 years of financial mismanagement. It’s the Republican’s strategy…spend us into deficit spending and when Democrats repeal tax cuts or raise taxes to help pay the bills scream about them “raising taxes”. Frankly, I’m smarter than that, they don’t fool me one bit.

My opinion is that if that was my church and I knew ahead of time that he was going to be there, I would have slept in that Sunday
