Oh, will you guys knock it off, Maybe GOD is orchestrating this and is going to use if for His glory! How does anyone know for sure that offers have not come from the UPC. I would find it very hard to believe that they have not offered help as well. Good Grief.

With all due respect to you being UPC and others. I do not doubt it for a minute. The church I used to go to was asked by a Spanish Apostolic church if they could rent the facilities and such. The church I went to told them no. The church I went to is UPC. So that might not speak for all or at least most of them, but I would be willing to bet the farm that another would not be as cordial. JMO, but I have seen it first hand. Also one reason the UPC church turned them down is that spanish church, which actually servives are done in english, was larger than the one I attended. Like I say you and Boomm might do differently, but most would not. They are too worried about losing saints to a different assembly.

My length of time here has nothing to do with it. I have been around awhile but have way fewer posts than a lot of people. But I am fed up with the UPC bashing, can you tell? Anyone has the same right to post if they are upset with the bashing no matter how long you've been here. I carry no clout as the wife of MrBOOMM,(if there is any clout to be had) nor do I want to. I stand on my own two feet and he on his.

So, what I am saying is that we don't have to dwell on the negative. No one here knows what the UPC churches in that area have offered. I am here to lift up, not to tear down!

SO TRUE, SIS....I remained silent when maybe I should have spoken up as pelathais has said about another situation. It's water under the bridge now so to speak and God will judge all things. After months of suffering, I believe I have finally forgiven those who lied, cheated and stole. It was a hard battle and I am sure I will battle in the future when my mind begins to reminisce but I can say I wish them no harm. Probably most, if not all, on this board have been betrayed by someone who was supposed to be their brother or sister. I look at what Jesus bore and the happenings I grieved about were nothing compared to His suffering.
No.. we have a loser... You're not a winner if you're still harbouring stuff from the past. Not calling anyone personally a loser.. but you are a loser when you dwell on things... usually hurting yourself more than anyone.
Fact is... they are renting facilites or using facilites.. they aren't JOINING UP and having services all together...
The point is moot...

Seems that you two are on the same page, but the fact is that DramaQueen already stated that there is a UPC churcher closer that did not seem to have offered. One thing I know from experience is that some help and some don't. The point of having a fellowship -even though it is more like an organization- is to have someone there to be the family and help in the need of a crisis. Obviosly we can not know for sure if the UPC church did or did not offer. One thing we can say is the AG church did and they are not as close and not part of the fellowship/family. They are part of the body of Christ but what about the family? It says great things about the AG churches leadership and view of the body. It is just sad to me that if you are close enough to another church of the same organization and are not the first ones to ask to assist. IMO
