So true! It's the cares of this life, that try to blind or choke these thoughts out.

In order to get past that, we gently encourage and entreat to remembrance.

I love to preach on that! You don't have to beg anyone to worship!
That would work in the Catholic church!

I am understanding your point. I am seeing the truth in what you say but I can't completely, 100% agree with you.

You see, in scripture we are told oftentimes to do things on faith alone. No feeling, no visible manifestation, nothing but faith and obedience.

I have proven in my own life.. that when I push through, something does happen and it is no longer empty.

The children of Israel marched around Jericho only because they were told to.
They shouted with a voice of triumph only because they were told to.
The walls came down, because they obeyed what they were told to do.

if you are spelling medicine really fast or the old see my tie stuff then you are out of order
if you fall out when anyone but me lays hands on you then you are out of order.

Here is where the problem starts and ends! There is not enough of this anymore! If you do enough of this everything else falls into place.

God has spoken to me differntly at different times.
One time just recently I was pricked immediately in my heart over something... immediately a strong rebuke. And other times the small voice nudging me.

People can do the same with their sons, daughters, youth. You have to pray and get a feel for how to approach people on things. Everyone and every circumstance may be different.
Amen, good post. The emboldened is why I wanted to start this thread. I'm wanting other perceptions and experiences.

I have never had a strong rebuke from God, so I can't relate.

On instance, caught up in my job and not paying attention, the receptionist would play on the emotions of whoever would listen. I let her pour her heart out to me one day.

As was my custom, I would go home and pray at lunch. The Lord brought this scripture to my mind, "No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." II Tim 2:4

Just reminding me not to get caught up with this person. She was up to no good. Very gentle reminder. He has always been that way with me.

He knows what works with you... and now so do we all! We'll be sure to gently remind you when you're wrong

YES! We were visiting a church and a man was running around during the song service. The pastor said, "There's your true worshipper."

Wow, I will never forget that. I was thinking the elderly lady that may have stayed up all night in prayer because she grew up learning to pray was also a true worshipper.

But that's just me.
