The reason: You always hear about tornados hitting trailer homes, schools, churches, etc, but you never hear about a tornado hitting a bar!

Pick another place, like an adult bookstore or something.
In Utica, IL, almost four years ago, 8 people were killed, including the bar owners, after they and the patrons sought shelter in the bar's basement. Of all the destruction, they were the only storm's fatalities.

Re: Union University Destruction
Before the storm Union University was truly a beautiful campus. I attended college
there my freshman year. That was way back in 1985-86.

Re: Union University Destruction
That was an amazing video, I am still just awestruck at the devastation and by the fact that no one was killed. It is truly a miracle.

Re: Union University Destruction
The UPS truck that was overturned at the entrance to Union - that's my UPS driver. He was in the truck when the tornado hit, down in the floorboard. He came in today to deliver some packages; he is very grateful to God for protection.

Wow - I can't imagine!
It's interesting too that part of the Union University sign was found 45 miles away in someone's back yard!
Just unbelieve things!

Re: Union University Destruction
UU Chapel services are supposedly very powerful times of worship, but I've never been to one personally. I've heard that they raise their hands and move around during the music - not your typical Baptist, but then this is a new generation and there is a hunger for reality in praise & worship. We have several UU students at our church on Sundays.

Re: Union University Destruction
I have slept through a tornado. We have tornadoes here quite often.
