Bad idea! LOL!

Part of the problem with this guy - part of the problem - is when he first arrived he stepped into my kitchen and immediately began to tell me what all he wouldn't be eating. Gave me a list!!
Tuna casserole wasn't on it though.

The greatest preachers I ever heard were those who also insisted on helping themselves in the kitchen.
I have seen a visiting preacher's wife march my Mother-in-law into a chair and do her dishes also. This was not an easy feat!
Sis Nona Freeman brought her own hot sauces, as she knew Yankees did not eat spicy foods.

Indeed... you have provided proof that the church in Corinth was carnal.
You are aware that this is not an across the board indictment of every church that has existed from then until now? Right?

I love it when they're in to helping.
We had a Mexican brother (missionary) who made supper for us one night. Mexican food - all cooked from scratched. Home-made mole' sauce.
Ole'!!!

His wife and family are for a better term 'church worn'. Very little free time and down time just to kick back. I was speaking to a young evangelist today he has maybe 4 days until his next revival I told him to unwind ONLY read his Bible as devotional and not to study for a message take his young wife and do what they want and enjoying doing. Just hang loose and relax. Pastors do NOT monopolize every spare moment of an evangelist's time while they are with you.
They are constantly with pastors hearing their problems. Give them space. If their wife is tired do not make them feel pressured in her attending every service. She is churched to death. If during a revival she would like to go visit her family so be it don't make them feel guilty. Do not place restrictions on the evangelist that you do not want on yourself. An evangelist can't keep up with every preacher feud in the country leave them out of it. Pastor the evangelist may not like your friend don't pressure him into preaching for him.
DO NOT EVER have an evangelist by to convert him to some deep revelation you have or standard you feel he needs tightening up in.
Pastor if YOU want to preach a revival then do NOT call an evangelist to come by. It is insulting to bring an evangelist in then preach before and after him. You might need a trip to the altar to check your ego!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then finally let him know you have appreciated his ministry and do not make the saints feel as though they have committed treason to compliment him.
I am taking the shield of faith and ducking!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe if churches would stop using evangelists for preaching to the saints who have no business being in need of reviving they wouldn't be under so much stress. The job of the evangelist is to go out and evangelize, i.e. reach the lost - not to wake up sleeping Christians or resurrect spiritually dead ones.

Hi Digging,Well I been to very few church assemblies where people wasn't running around crying about what they don't like or who did something they don't like instead of just saying Thank Jesus. This is what I'm saying, people get upset about nothing and when you preach the word and step on a few toes out the door you go i never want to see you again.True preachers can't preach any more because of carnality in the Pastors or church.

Yes sir... I don't deny any postulation that the church is indeed carnal in this day and hour.
I made my comment because I have also seen people who don't feel like their are being preachers unless they are grinding the people to powder.
I certainly make no assertion that you are one of these... And I hope that my comments & questions are not taken as such.
Be blessed...
