Attacked By the Pastor!

I still don't have all the details yet but last night the pastor called all of the women involved and was really rude to them, and was saying he wasn't going to allow them to use the auditorium, even though he had personally approved of it before.

So the ladies had a prayer meeting about it last night after the phone calls. My wife's description of the meeting today was "The Lord shut the Lions mouth", the attitude was completely different and they are going to be able to use the auditorium. She said the difference between the phone call last night and the meeting today were night and day.

It basically came down to the pastor warning them not to "Speak in tongues". I really don't think they had any plans of it, talking to teenage girls about modesty and sex really doesn't go to far when they can't understand what you are saying.

When Ali (My wife) first went to work there one of the ladies said to her, "You are Spirit filled aren't you?" She said "I could tell there was something about you that was different." My wife doesn't dress according to the UPC dress code so it had to come from the inside. I think the pastor is threatened by the fact that virtually all of the ministry that takes place at the school is by those who are Spirit filled.

I believe God has opened the door for them to minister to these young ladies and I know God will accomplish His will.

Just stopped by to update you folks. I usually don't post from home. Actually this is the first time. Usually when I am home I am with my wife or the kids, tonight Ali is out, Cody is loading up his new ipod and Kari is playing playstation so I am free for a bit.

Let us know how the meeting goes. Thank God your wife and the other ladies had to burden to address a need and the courage to follow through. Praying for them.
