Unfortunately with all the mixed signals is it no surprise that so many of our young men have given up in confusion.
Don't change! I'm sure your wife appreciates the way you treat her. I prefer to be treated courteous.

Recently, my boss and I were out of town and we were downtown walking to a restaurant, I was on the outside by the road and my boss made me move to the inside because he said, no man should let a women walk on the outside near the road. I thought it was funny at the time and then the more I thought about it, I thought he is correct. He says he is old school. He always opens the car door when we go somewhere. Well, I will take the old school treatment any day!

Re: The Emasculating of Men and Masculation of Wom

This thread rather hits home for me because of what I have witnessed in recent days. I think I may look at the topic a little different but this is how I feel about it anyway. I used to be one that really believed woman should have their voice heard and be in leadership in church. (actually I still do)

But over the last few years and the last few days, there is nothing more unappealing than a woman who steps out of authority and tries to take over a church service.

I have actually seen a woman grab the microphone out of someone hand because they felt they just had to say something. It made my stomach hurt, and I felt embarrassed-and it was very masculine imo.

I mean there are times when it is appropriate to speak and share your heart, but when a woman demands to be heard as is very domineering when doing so-I think it puts people off and perhaps turns men off from wanting to put or use a woman in a leadership role.--JMHO

That was just plain rude. It would be the same if a man did it.

My son does this and even when we are eating in a restaurant, he always wants the seat that faces the door. He said that way if someone comes in going nutty, he'll be the first to react. Kind of makes sense and now I just always know to make sure I sit in the seat that's away from the door - still trying to train his wife how to figure that out - lol!!!!

I'm sure this makes you proud of your son. My husband is oblivious to these things.
