Re: The New Obama

Politics from the Right = Lean to the right to get the nomination, lean center to win the general election.

Politics from the Left = Lean to the left to get the nomination, lean center to win the general election.

Folks...those are the basics in politics.

Re: The New Obama

Too funny!

Quote:
Obama rejects the Bush my-way-or-the-highway "cowboy" foreign policy. Obama repeatedly said he wishes to meet with enemy/thug leaders without preconditions. But wait!

He now says only if he decides to meet in the first place. And if he decides -- to which he may not -- he'll do so without preconditions. And if he decides not to, his decision will have been made without preconditions, unless, of course, he decides to meet after all -- but only without preconditions. And if he decides not to meet, he'll make that decision without any preconditions, just as he would make the decision to meet without the precondition of no preconditions. But if he decides to meet, without preconditions, he'll do so solely when, where and if he decides to -- without preconditions.

That's change.

This is EXACTLY what is taking place. As one person said the other day to me, other countries are free to trade with us, just under different terms! LOL!

Obama is for creating tarriffs but still for "free trade"

It's like the dems this week trying to raise the price of gas (taxing oil companies) for the purpose of lowering the price of gas.

its insanity.

Please provide an example of John McCain doing this?
George Bush doing this.
George H. W. Bush doing this
Ronald Reagan doing this.

its one thing to play to the crowd about things like who you will appoint as judges and defense of marriage amendments then in the general speak to more moderate issues.

it is vastly different to say you will trash NAFTA during the primary, then say you wont trash NAFTA in the General.

the first is highlighting the things that win your party, (but you still do those things when elected), the second is telling a balled faced lie.

But liberals seem to like liars.

which goes to something I said the other day about not trusting those that think like Obama... and was taken to task for saying it.....

Obama's idea of "change" is change back to policy that has failed before, because he believes it will work!

Re: The New Obama

Did you guys catch McCain's comments about it being "not too important" to get our troops out of Iraq?

You didn't add the rest, Rico. He said in light of casualties. He said that we have troops in Japan, etc. and it would, if we DON'T have casualties, not be important to quickly remove them.

You are distorting like a CNN reporter, boy!!!
