Thanks Ferd, I didn't know the history. I joined NFCF 3-4 months before it shut down and spent most of my time in the deep waters section.

Not getting offended by God's word is one thing, refusing to be taken advantage of and then being labeled as offended is another.
Actually, Carpenter, this scripture in Psalm 119:165 uses the word "offend" meaning "stumblingblock". So, the scripture is reading as "Nothing can cause you to stumble if you love His law".
It doesn't have the same meaning as offend in Psalm 73:15 "to act covertly" or another meaning, "'âsham 'âshêm, to be guilty".

I agree with you that is why I used the context of being offended by God's word. There are people who abuse that scripture on the opposite end of the spectrum believing they can behave in ways and say things that are WAY over the top and if people love God's word, they won't be offended.
Many many preachers (but not all) use this tactic, and even say as much in the preamble to their sermons. Ahh' ahh' CHOOgordonpoe!...sniff...whew...
